A chip-timed gravel race up the flanks of Mt. Spokane, run in Wendy Ramsey's honor. Every entry fee, sponsorship and race-day gift funds research into Richter's syndrome and related blood cancers.
Climb for the Cure is The Wendy Fund's signature event. It starts and finishes at Big Barn Brewery in Mead, Washington, and climbs the gravel roads toward Mt. Spokane. We built it for Wendy, who fought chronic lymphocytic leukemia for 18 years before Richter's syndrome took her in 2021.
The race has grown every year, from 84 riders in 2024 to 171 in 2026. Registrations alone have raised more than $50,000, and sponsors and donors have pushed The Wendy Fund past $490,000 toward a $1 million goal.
